The ragtime portion was taught to me when I was a teenager studying with the Disneyland Ragtime Pianist, Johnny Hodges. I've since added a lot of extras to the arrangement, but Johnny Hodges gets credit for most of the ragtime portion. This tune brings me back to my Disneyland days as the Ragtime Pianist... I would play it all day long on 4th of July, and I fondly remember the joyful ambience shared by all the Disneyland guests.
